George Bamford - is cycling with Richard Telfer, Managing Director of Leicestershire-based JCB dealer Watling JCB, and his son Fred Telfer on the journey from Land’s End to John O’Groats.
So far, George has raised £77,000 for distribution to children’s charities along the route. Richard and Fred have raised more than £50,000 for Young Leicestershire, Mind and Wishes 4 Kids.
Joining the cyclists on the 10 legs of the journey are employees from JCB’s dealer network and JCB employees. JCB employees joining today on the 110-mile day four leg were Andy Whyman, of Uttoxeter; Louise Hemmings, of Haughton, near Stafford; Sam Griffin, of Uttoxeter; Aaron Turner, of Burton; Andy Otter, of Ipstones, near Leek; Steve Brazier, of Stafford and Jamie Jeffery, of Leek.
As they arrived at JCB’s World HQ for a lunch stop, a guard of honour formed by JCB backhoe loaders greeted them along with applauding employees.
