AMERICAN POWER MARKET GENERATES OPPORTUNITY FOR JCB
JCB is to enter the American power generation market, with dedicated Tier 4 Final generator sets delivering outputs of 56kW through to 500kW.
Already a leading global supplier of construction, agricultural and industrial equipment, JCB has been producing a line-up of more than 300 diesel generators and lighting tower models, since the launch of the iconic JCB Dieselmax engine in 2006.
America offers a huge opportunity for JCB Power Products. The US power generation sector is the second largest in the world, with sales of more than 140,000 generators a year and the rental industry alone is worth more than $1bn. JCB has undertaken a detailed benchmarking and customer evaluation exercise, to develop a generator range that meets the American customer requirements, across diverse industry sectors. They are built for reliability, are easy to operate and safer by design and require minimum maintenance. JCB generators are also designed for rapid towing within US highway regulations. JCB has been manufacturing and supplying generators around the world since 2006 and brings a wealth of experience, expertise and market-leading levels of support and customer back-up to the market.

JCB is working to maximise the opportunities presented by entering such an extensive market. The company is extending its existing network of dedicated power generation dealers across America, to distribute the T4F generators and to provide the highest level of customer support. JCB’s technical service support delivers instant access to factory expertise, day or night and the dealers will be able to call upon a global network of JCB parts centres to deliver genuine spare parts whenever and wherever they are required, reducing downtime for customers.
Many JCB generators are supplied with JCB’s LiveLink telematics system as standard, allowing customers to remotely monitor and manage generators in the field. With real-time updates and diagnostic data, JCB LiveLink provides a valuable link to equipment, giving the customer total control of their assets, maximising utilisation and productivity for the end user.
JCB Power Products was established in 2006, following the launch of the JCB Dieselmax engine. Today JCB has two global generator manufacturing facilities, supplying diesel generators from 8-2,750kVA to dedicated JCB dealers in over 50 countries around the world. The company produces a wide range of power generation equipment, including rental specific models, to meet the needs of customers in the construction, mining, agricultural and events sectors. JCB also produces generators to deliver back-up power supply to commercial facilities, hospitals, offices and data centres.
